Sinus Pressure Points on Feet Area


What is Sinus?

Before we know the point pressure area of sinus on foot, let us to consider its definition. Sinus is a small cavity filled with air that is located behind the cheekbones and forehead. Sinus contained in four pairs of left and right: Frontal sinus, Maxillary sinus, Spheroidal sinus, and Etmoidalis sinus. Sinus limited by mucus-secreting cells. It is not just an empty space that reduces the weight of the skull, but it serves to add resonance and assist in heating and filtering the air entering the nasal cavity.

Relation to Sinusitis

Sinusitis is an inflammation in the nasal wall. Its caused by a flu virus that is scattered in the upper respiratory tract. Aside from a viral infection, other causes are fungal infection, dental infections, and smoking habits.

Usually after a cold or the flu, secondary bacterial infections may spread. This will cause the lining of the sinuses becomes inflamed or inflammation.

In Children, Sinusitis is caused by allergies, contracting diseases from other children in their neighborhood, the habit of using pacifiers or drinking from a bottle in a state of lying and living in smoke-filled environment.

There are several points on the toe nails as the pressure points, and when it pressed with a finger will increase circulation in the sinus and helps one to unclog the sinuses. In this area should be pressed lightly in a clockwise direction and then from left to right or vice versa.
